Faculty and staff in the NMU MS-SLP Graduate Program participate in an annual evaluation process designed to support continuous growth and professional development.

Faculty Evaluations

Faculty members are required to complete an annual evaluation of their teaching, scholarship/professional development, and service. This evaluation is reviewed by both the Faculty Evaluation Committee and the Associate Dean of Clinical Sciences. The review includes assessing whether the faculty member achieved the goals established in the prior year. Faculty seeking promotion or tenure can use these annual evaluations and reports from the Faculty Evaluation Committee and Associate Dean to demonstrate a consistent record of professional development and growth.

Staff Evaluations

Staff members are evaluated annually by the Associate Dean of Clinical Sciences. These evaluations include ratings of relevant skills and recommendations for further development. The evaluation process references recommendations from the prior year, ensuring a documented record of ongoing improvement.

Communication of Results

Evaluation results are shared with faculty and staff through detailed reports from the Faculty Evaluation Committee and the Associate Dean of Clinical Sciences, providing constructive feedback to guide their teaching, scholarship/professional development, and service.

This structured evaluation system ensures accountability and fosters an environment of continuous improvement, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality program.
