I bought a smoked turkey thigh at Econo Foods recently. Not sure of its origins but the label said turkey and it looked nicely cured. It was pretty good eaten cold. Today when it was almost gone I chunked off what was left and put it in my crock pot with the navy beans I was making. Wow, it added a lot of flavor and was fallin' apart tender. A spoonful of corn meal as a thickener made this a very hearty fall soup/stew.
